Where We Work

Our base is Glens Falls, and most of our jobs are a short drive from town. We install on homes in South Glens Falls, Queensbury, West Glens Falls and Glens Falls North every season. We also head east to Hudson Falls, Kingsbury and Fort Edward, and south to Moreau.

Out a bit farther, we take jobs in Lake Luzerne and Wilton too. If your town is not on this list, ask anyway. We will tell you straight if it is in our range. Either way, the quote visit is free, and you get a clear answer on what the job takes before any work starts.

What We See on Homes Across the Area

  1. 01

    Housing age and rooflines

This area has a real mix. Older homes often have steep gables, deep eaves and trim that has been painted many times. Newer subdivisions tend to have long, simple rooflines and vinyl soffits. We look at your fascia and gutters first, then pick a mounting method that fits what is there. On older wood trim we check for soft spots before we fasten anything.

  2. 02

    Winter weather

Winters here are long, with heavy snow, ice and plenty of freeze and thaw. That is a big reason people go permanent. Nobody wants to be on a ladder in December. We run the track and wiring so snow sliding off the roof and ice in the gutters have less to grab onto.

  3. 03

    Running costs

Permanent lighting uses LEDs, which draw far less power than the old incandescent strings many people still have in the garage. With app-controlled schedules, the lights come on when you want and shut off on their own. On the long dark evenings of a northern winter, that adds up to real savings over hours of old bulbs left burning.

  4. 04

    Permits and HOA rules

Most permanent lighting runs on low voltage and plugs into an existing outdoor outlet, so a permit is often not needed. Rules vary by town, though. If your setup needs a new outlet or your neighborhood has an HOA with lighting rules, we talk it through at the quote visit so nothing catches you off guard.
