Permanent Exterior Lighting Installation in Glens Falls
We install permanent LED lighting along your roofline in a slim track that stays up all year. You set colors and schedules from an app on your phone. The LEDs draw very little power, so you can light the house most nights without watching the electric bill climb.

Lights that go up once and stay up
Permanent lighting is a run of LED lights set inside a low-profile channel that mounts under the edge of your roof. From the street you mostly see the trim. At night you see clean, even light along the roofline, in white for every day or any color you pick for holidays and game nights.
No more ladders in December, no tangled strings, no cracked bulbs. The track stays put through snow and ice, and you turn it on or off from your phone.
The energy side is real. LEDs use a fraction of the power older incandescent strings did, and a schedule means they only run when you want them. Bright entries and walkways for less than you might expect to spend.
What the job includes
- Measuring and mapping the lights
- We go around the house with a tape and note each stretch of roof edge, plus the spot where the power supply can plug in. Then we show you where the lights will land and how far apart they will sit.
- Color-matched mounting track
- The channel is matched as close as we can to your trim or fascia so it blends in during the day. It goes under the drip edge or along the fascia, not through your shingles.
- LED lights and power supply
- We set the lights in the track at even spacing and connect them to a weather-rated power supply. If you need a new outdoor outlet for it, we tell you before work starts.
- App setup on your phone
- Before we leave, we install the app-controlled system with you, set a schedule, and show you how to change colors, brightness and patterns.
- Cleanup
- We pick up packaging, trimmings and screws from your yard and driveway. You should not find our mess the next morning.
When permanent lights are worth it
Fall ladder work wears you out
Clipping strands to a freezing gutter is the worst part of the season. A permanent setup ends that job for good.
Strands die every season
Sections go out, clips break and bulbs crack in the cold. You keep buying replacements and paying to power them.
The walk to your door is too dark
With early winter sunsets, you arrive home after dark for months. Soft white roofline light shows the steps and path, and you don't have to leave a porch light on until morning.
You want the house to look good with no extra chores
Well-placed light makes a house look complete after sunset. A permanent system gives you that every evening of the year, not only at the holidays.
You want a say in what you spend on power
Efficient LEDs and an app timer keep the lights on your schedule. You never again find a string still glowing at breakfast.
What sets your price
No two houses are alike, so we put a price on the job once we have seen it. Your quote breaks down each item you are paying for. These are the things that raise or lower it.
Feet of roof edge
Each added foot needs more channel and more LEDs. A plain ranch comes in lower than a house full of peaks and corners.
How hard it is to reach
Second-story walls, steep roofs and cramped spots by trees need extra time and gear to work on safely.
Outlets on the outside
An outdoor outlet already in a good spot keeps things easy. If one has to be added, the job grows.
How much of the house
Some homeowners light only the front. Others go all the way around or include the garage. It's your call, and the price follows it.
How install day runs
- 1
Free quote by phone and a visit
You call, we talk through what you want, and we set up a time to look at the house. You get a written quote with each part spelled out.
- 2

We load the LEDs, wire the power supply, and test every section in white and color before we call it done.
- 4
Walkthrough with you
We set up the app on your phone, build your first schedule, and answer questions. Then we clean up and head out.

Common questions on permanent lights
Can the system take a Glens Falls winter?
It can. Both the channel and the LEDs are rated to stay outdoors in every season, and they tuck under the roof edge, sheltered from the harshest weather. Sliding snow and ice go right past them. While installing, we test each fastening point so nothing loosens over time.
What will it add to my electric bill?
Far less than old holiday strings. The LEDs pull little power, and an app schedule keeps them on only for the hours you pick. A common setup is on at sunset and off when the household goes to bed.
Does the track show in daylight?
Barely. It is a narrow channel colored to match your trim, so it looks like part of the house. Neighbors tend to spot it only after dark when it glows.
Will my house need new wiring?
Most of the time, no. A power supply plugs into an outdoor outlet and runs the whole system. When there is no suitable outlet, we tell you what it involves before we begin. We are licensed and insured, so that work gets done right.
How much experience do you have?
Five years in business, putting lighting on houses in Glens Falls, Queensbury, South Glens Falls and the towns around them.
